Shipping Policy

Every Canvyra piece is created for one person and printed after the order is placed. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting. Below is exactly how long that takes, where we send it, and what happens if something goes wrong on the way.

What shipping costs

Shipping is free to every country we serve. There is no minimum order, no weight surcharge, and no separate shipping line at checkout. The price shown on the product page is the price you pay.

Customs duties and import taxes are handled separately for a small number of destinations — see Customs and import charges below.

How long it takes

Your order moves through three stages. The first two happen before the parcel leaves us.

1

Artwork preparation

1–2 business days

Your approved preview is rebuilt at full print resolution, colour-corrected, and checked by a person before it goes anywhere near a printer.

2

Crafting

3–5 business days

The canvas is printed, cured, hand-stretched over a solid wood frame, fitted with hanging hardware, inspected, and packed. Larger formats sit at the longer end of this range because the stretching and curing take longer.

3

Transit

Varies by destination — see the table below

Once the parcel is collected by the carrier, the timeline belongs to them. You receive a tracking link by email the moment it ships.

Crafting time is 4–7 business days in total before your parcel is handed to a carrier. Add the transit estimate for your country to get a realistic arrival window.

Transit estimates by region

Destination Transit
United States (contiguous) 3–7 business days
Alaska, Hawaii, US territories 7–14 business days
United Kingdom 4–9 business days
European Union 5–10 business days
Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein 7–14 business days
Australia and New Zealand 8–16 business days

Every timeframe on this page is an estimate, not a guarantee. These figures reflect what we typically see, and the great majority of orders arrive inside them. They are not a promised delivery date, they do not form part of your contract with us, and we cannot commit to a specific arrival day for any order — including orders placed for a birthday, holiday, or other occasion.

If a piece is needed by a particular date, write to us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it is realistic.

How business days are counted

Business days are Monday to Friday and exclude public holidays in the country where your order is produced. Weekends and holidays are not counted in any estimate above. Orders placed after 6:00 PM UTC begin counting from the next business day.

Addresses we cannot deliver to

  • PO boxes, packing stations, and parcel lockers — our canvases exceed the size limits at most of them
  • Freight forwarders and package-reshipping services; orders sent to one are shipped at your own risk and are not covered by our replacement policy
  • Remote and overseas territories including the Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla, the Azores, Madeira, French overseas departments, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and Svalbard
  • Military addresses (APO, FPO, DPO)

Tracking your order

You receive two emails: one confirming your order, and one containing a tracking link when the parcel is collected. Tracking often shows nothing for the first 24 to 72 hours — this is normal and simply means the carrier has not scanned the parcel into its network yet. It is not a sign that something is wrong.

If your tracking has not updated for seven consecutive business days, contact us and we will open an investigation with the carrier.

Orders with more than one piece

Pieces of different sizes are produced on different equipment and are frequently finished at different times. When that happens we ship each piece as soon as it is ready rather than holding your whole order back — so parcels may arrive on separate days, with separate tracking numbers, and occasionally from separate facilities. You are never charged more for this.

Customs and import charges

Where your order is produced determines whether import charges apply.

  • United States, United Kingdom, European Union: orders are produced within your customs area. There are no import duties and nothing to pay on delivery.
  • Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein: your parcel crosses a customs border. Import duty, VAT, and a carrier handling fee may be charged by your local authorities before delivery. These charges are set by your government, are not collected by us, and are your responsibility as the importer. We cannot calculate, estimate, or refund them.
  • Australia and New Zealand: GST is generally collected at checkout where required. If any additional charge is raised on arrival, it is payable by you.

Refusing to pay a customs charge does not cancel your order. A parcel refused at customs is treated as an undeliverable parcel — see below.

Delays outside our control

Once your parcel leaves our facility it is in the hands of independent carriers and, for some destinations, government customs authorities. We are not liable for delays, disruptions, or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, and such events do not entitle you to a refund of the order or to compensation. These include, without limitation:

  • Carrier delays, misroutes, backlogs, capacity limits, and failed delivery attempts
  • Customs inspections, clearance holds, and processing backlogs
  • Severe weather, natural disasters, fire, and flooding
  • Strikes, industrial action, and labour shortages, whether at a carrier, a port, or a production facility
  • Public holidays and seasonal peak periods, when carrier networks slow across the board
  • Civil unrest, war, terrorism, sanctions, border closures, and government action
  • Pandemics, epidemics, and public health restrictions
  • Power failures, network outages, and cyber incidents affecting a carrier or a production facility
  • An incomplete, incorrect, or outdated delivery address supplied at checkout
  • Nobody being available to accept or collect the parcel

What we do commit to: if your order is delayed, we will chase the carrier on your behalf, keep you informed, and — where a parcel is confirmed lost — replace it at our cost under the terms below.

Address accuracy

Check your address carefully before you pay. We ship to the address exactly as you enter it, and we cannot correct it once production has begun.

  • Address changes are only possible within 12 hours of ordering, and only if artwork preparation has not yet finished. Email us immediately.
  • If a parcel is undeliverable because of an address error and is returned to us, we will reship it once you pay a reshipment fee of $19.
  • If a parcel is undeliverable, refused, or unclaimed and is not returned to us — which is common on international routes — we cannot issue a refund or a replacement.
  • Unclaimed parcels are usually destroyed by the carrier after their local holding period, typically 7 to 21 days. Collect promptly once a delivery attempt is made.

Damaged, lost, or missing parcels

Arrived damaged

Contact us within 14 days of delivery with clear photographs of the damaged piece and of the outer packaging, including any visible damage to the box. Keep everything until your claim is closed — carriers frequently ask to inspect. Confirmed transit damage is replaced free of charge, and you keep the damaged piece.

Marked delivered but not received

Check with neighbours, other household members, and any safe place your carrier uses, then contact us. We will open a carrier investigation, which typically takes 5 to 10 business days. We are not able to replace parcels confirmed as delivered to the correct address, and we do not cover theft after delivery.

Lost in transit

A parcel is treated as lost when tracking has shown no movement for 20 business days for domestic orders or 30 business days for international orders. Once a carrier confirms the loss, we produce and ship a replacement at no cost to you.

All claims must be raised within 30 days of the last tracking update. After that we can no longer file with the carrier and cannot process the claim.

Changing or cancelling an order

Because every piece is made specifically for you, the window is short. Cancellation is free within 12 hours of ordering, provided artwork preparation has not been completed. After that the materials have been committed and the order cannot be cancelled or altered.
